Powerful Quotes + a Bonus

Here are ten quotes that really resonated with me, from a few of my heroes. Maybe they'll ring true for you too :

"By changing nothing, nothing changes" - Tony Robbins

"The training you did in the dark of the mornin' will show when you're under the bright lights" - Joe Frazier

"The good life is not founded upon a rigid set of rules... but involves suppleness and strength as we move beyond our tendencies and compulsions" - Dan Millman

"Either you are living as love, or you are lost in the drama of your own story to one degree or another" -David Deida

"There is nothing more amazing than moments when true willpower shines through the bullshit of fear, scarcity, false limitations and mental noise" - Owen Cook

"The way we see the problem, is the problem" - Stephen Covey

"Live with integrity, respect the rights of other people, and follow your own bliss" - Nathaniel Branden

"This is my religion. There is no need for temples, no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple. The philosophy is kindness." -Dalai Lama

"If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito" - Dalai Lama ( he's a legend)

"Sometimes when I consider what tremendous consequences come from little things... I am tempted to think... there are no little things" - Bruce Barton

As a bonus, I'll say a few things about what I've realised with quotes.

Often, the first time you hear them, you nod your head and say - haha, that's true.

Then a few things will happen to you in life, and you hear the quote again. This time, because of your experience, you have insight into the quote. You understand it on a deeper level. You go, "oh my god, that really is so true".

And if you ever find yourself returning to it a third time, then a quote can become something you live by, something that pops into your head when you're making a decision - and redefines the way you live.

Words can be very powerful things.
